See OpeningsOnce a student, now a teacher, is what defines the journey of our Grade 1 teacher Vineeta Pant. Life has come a full circle for her. She entered the Vishwajyot campus, with tiny hesitant steps, many years back as a student of Grade IV, and today she stands tall as an inspiration for every child who has ever interacted with her. Though she started her career training theatrics and communications, it was her love for the institute that brought her back to the place from where she began. The joy and positivity that she creates around herself have captured the hearts of innumerable students of Grade 1. It has been an overwhelming experience for all of us to see one of our shining stars evolve from a student to a respectable individual and a great teacher.
A new teacher on the block, Nitya Ramanan, has become an indispensable part of the institute by imbibing the values of the school. An MSc in Bioanalytical Science, she has spent most of her career in the pharmaceutical industry and teaching analytical instruments. As an avid reader, Nitya had the opportunity to learn about the Waldorf methodology that drew her to Vishwajyot, and she joined as a primary Grade teacher. “The focus on skill rather than textbooks and curriculum and the freedom to explore and innovate with kids allows me to look forward to my everyday session with kids,” says Nitya as she recollects her teaching experience in the past few months in the school. She believes that interaction and experience with the young kids have not only just developed her as a mother but have also brought a lot of spontaneity and vibrance into her life.
